Fernando Invents Socks - Children's Book by Brad Pohl

Fernando Invents Socks!

A Gripping Story, About the Perils of Ocean Trash.

A children’s book (suitable for ages 3-8) about a penguin (Fernando) and his friend Judith (a couch-surfing chicken) who escape almost certain disaster, save their environment, and start a lucrative up-cycling venture through a mixture of luck, pluck and ingenuity!

You can find cool mugs to buy that are based on the book itself. Something fun to help the conscious message linger beyond reading time with the kids.

The Author

Brad Pohl Author of Children's Book Fernando Invents Socks

Brad Pohl was born far up in the North of Zimbabwe during the country’s struggle for independence. He spent his young life growing up on his parent’s farm in that most dangerous part of Mashonaland known only as “The Sharp End”.

He thinks it was called that because all the animals up there have very sharp teeth, and having experienced most of them first-hand (especially those of a certain vervet monkey, a honey badger, and a lightning fast crocodile) – he has no reason to think otherwise!

Having more recently worked for Wilderness Safaris in the Zambezi Valley (pre-COVID-19!) he is now drawing on that experience for new books . . . mostly to try and convince a few children to conspire and help save our planet!
